Erling Haaland drops huge fitness hint ahead of Man City vs Liverpool
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has suggested he will be fit enough to face Liverpool in Saturday's early kick-off.
The Norway striker withdrew from his international setup in midweek after picking up an ankle problem, leaving City fans sweating ahead of what could be one of the team's biggest Games of the season against Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.
Haaland was back in training on Thursday but, during Friday's press conference, manager Pep Guardiola refused to reveal whether the striker will be fit enough to feature.
"[Erling] trained yesterday with some niggles but today we have the last training and hopefully he can be part of it," Guardiola said. "We have a few problems like many clubs.
"We will see in the training session and we will see [on Saturday]. At 6pm, I will know for sure which players I will have. Always it's plan A."

Fuelling the fire even further, Haaland took to social media on Friday evening to post a picture of himself in training with an encouraging message for supporters.
"See you tomorrow!" he wrote.
Haaland is not the only City player giving Guardiola cause for concern heading into the Game, with the reigning champions sweating over the fitness of Ederson, Nathan Ake, Matheus Nunes and Mateo Kovacic.
City head into the Game top of the Premier League, just one point clear of Liverpool in second. Third-placed Arsenal are also one point off top spot, while Tottenham Hotspur are a further point back.
