‘Drunk’ Pedro Pascal gives emotional speech after win at SAG Awards 2024: ‘I’m going to have a panic attack’
Pedro Pascal admitted he was “drunk” while accepting his award at the 2024 SAG Awards on Saturday.
“This is wrong, for a number of reasons. Umm, I’m a little drunk. I thought I could get drunk,” he said on stage while accepting the award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a drama series for his role in “The Last of Us.”
Pascal, 48, took a few seconds to gather himself before he emotionally thanked the show’s streaming network, HBO.
“Uh, geez Louise, I’m making a fool of myself. But thank you so much for this!” he emotionally exclaimed.
The “Narcos” actor called the award an “incredible f–king honor” and he intended to thank his fellow nominees, but he could “not remember any of your names right now.”
Pascal began to thank his family who “may be watching” at home, but he briefly paused when his voice cracked and he began to get even more emotional.
“I’m going to have a panic attack, and I’m going to leave,” he concluded before walking off the stage amid the crowd applause.
Pascal wore one of his signature looks, a white flowy button-down that was mostly unbuttoned, a pair of black slacks and black shoes.

The “Mandalorian” actor later chatted with Tan France backstage, where the fashion designer asked him if he was “happy” with his speech.
“I don’t remember what I said,” Pascal admitted. “I just was very surprised, so let’s YouTube it later.”
Pascal made headlines for his speech earlier this year when he jokingly blamed Kieran Culkin for giving him a shoulder injury while he presented an award at the 2024 Emmys.
“And I think tonight is the perfect time to tell everyone that Kieran Culkin beat the s–t out of me,” he said last month.
When France asked if their made-up feud would continue after the SAGs, Pascal joked that he planned to make out with the “Succession” alum.
