Las Vegas Raiders vs. Cincinnati Bengals
November 3, 2024 1:00 pm EDT

This Sunday afternoon, the NFL presents Draftkings football fans with a matchup between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Cincinnati Bengals. Let’s take a look at this NFL game from a DFS perspective.

Before we dive into the Las Vegas Raiders vs. Cincinnati Bengals game let’s review the rules for the Draftkings single game showdown contest.

Draftkings Single Game Showdown Contest Rules

You have $50,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team captain. The captain accumulates 1.5 times the standard fantasy points. Additionally, the captain is 1.5 times the standard cost of the flex position.

The remaining four players in your lineup will receive the standard fantasy points. Having stated that, it is highly important for you to identify the correct player for your captain position if you hope to win a large field DFS GPP (guaranteed prize pool) showdown contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the single game showdown contest, I recommend that you check out the Draftkings website for more details.

I recommend that all readers review the starting lineups for both teams prior to setting your DFS lineup for this one Game slate.

Here are my Draftkings picks for this week’s Las Vegas Raiders vs. Cincinnati Bengals matchup.

Draftkings NFL Showdown Picks

Captain-Joe Burrow, Quarterback, Cincinnati Bengals $9,800

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow played exceptionally well last year. Unfortunately, for the Cincinnati Bengals, Burrow suffered an injury that ended his season prematurely. Having stated that, let’s review Burrow’s relevant key player Game data from the 2023 NFL regular season.

In the ten games that quarterback Joe Burrow played for the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2023 NFL regular season, Burrow compiled 2,309 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns, and added 88 rushing yards.

Now that we have determined how Joe Burrow played last season, let’s shift our focus this season. In the eight games that Burrow has played for the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2024 NFL regular season, Burrow is averaging 250.1 passing yards, 1.9 passing touchdowns, and 13.3 rushing yards a game.

More recently, in the Baltimore Ravens 41-38 win over the Cincinnati Bengals three weeks ago, Joe Burrow certainly played at a high level. More specifically, Burrow compiled 392 passing yards and five passing touchdowns.

Looking at the data just presented more closely, in the Ravens victory over the Bengals just mentioned, Burrow tallied a massive 37.8 Draftkings points.

Additionally, I like Joe Burrow from a general matchup perspective. The Los Angeles Raiders have had issues containing opposing quarterbacks this season. Through eight Games played in the 2024 NFL regular season, the Los Angeles Raiders are ranked a rather low 22nd in total Draftkings points allowed a Game (17.7) to opposing quarterbacks.

In summary, I think quarterback Joe Burrow is the most likely player to post the most Draftkings points in Sunday afternoon’s NFL regular season game. For that specific reason, I am backing Cincinnati Bengals starting quarterback Joe Burrow at the captain position for this one game Draftkings NFL Showdown slate.

Flex Plays

Ja’Marr Chase, Wide Receiver, Cincinnati Bengals $11,600

In the eight games that wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has played for the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2024 NFL regular season, Cincinnati starting quarterback Joe Burrow has targeted Chase 59 times. In those 59 targets just noted, Chase compiled 48 receptions, 674 receiving yards, and seven receiving touchdowns.

More recently, in the Philadelphia Eagles 37-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals last week, wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase played exceptionally well. Chase tallied nine receptions, 54 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown.

Additional flex plays I like to perform well (Draftkings price noted):  Brock Bowers, Tight End (Los Angeles Raiders) $9,000: Andrei Iosivas, Wide Receiver (Cincinnati Bengals) $4,800.
