Doja Cat slams negative comments from people comparing her natural hair to ‘pubes’ and ‘sheep’s wool’

Doja Cat slammed the negative comments people made about her natural hair after she used a close-up image of her locks for her forthcoming album cover.

“I’m seeing a pattern. I’m seeing a consistent pattern in my comments section of people saying is my hair pubic hair, is it carPet or is it sheep’s wool,” she said on Instagram Live, per a recording obtained by Hollywood Unlocked. “And it’s not even questions … some people are being like, that’s what it is.”

The “Paint the Town Red” rapper, 28, added that people are comparing her 4C hair, which consists of a tight curl pattern, “to sheep and pubes and carpet and popcorn and s–t like that.”

“We gotta move forward. Let’s move forward. Let’s grow,” she urged her fans.

“I can’t tell you what to do. I’m not your f–king parents. I don’t wanna say too much.”

The negative remarks about Doja’s hair — which she shaved in August 2022 — came after she shared the image for her forthcoming album on Instagram Friday.

The cover art featured a close image of the Grammy winner’s tight blond curls.

Doja — born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini — has since turned off the comments on that post.

Earlier this month, the “Agora Hills” musician deactivated her Instagram due to how she was being “treated” on the app.

“hey i’m gonna deactivate because i’m not really feeling this anymore,” she wrote in a now-deleted post at the time.

Doja then deleted her Instagram page, which had more than 24 million followers at that time.
