Doc Rivers Again Calls Out ‘Unprofessional’ Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks have lost four of their last five Games at the absolute worst time of the year to be doing so.

With the playoffs rapidly approaching, most legitimate title contenders seem to be finding their rhythms. Doc Rivers’ squad, though? They seem to be falling apart.

Not only is Milwaukee losing, but the defeats are coming to absolutely awful teams like the Washington Wizards and Memphis Grizzlies.

Following his squad’s most recent outing, Rivers called out the Bucks for being unprofessional from top to bottom.

“I’ve actually been sitting back and watching everything,” said Rivers.

“Not just our players, but our Travel crew — everything. … We don’t bring the necessary professionalism and seriousness on the road. … Something’s missing. Everybody seems happy, except for me after a Game. We’re doing something wrong and we have to figure that out.”

This has been a rough year for Milwaukee. After acquiring Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers, the Bucks have watched him get bogged down by the world’s messiest divorce and an absolute hatred for the city of Milwaukee.

Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo seem to not be on the same page either.

Rivers hasn’t done much to manage the situation well. This is starting to feel like a rehash of his time with the Philadelphia 76ers, in fact.

Will the Bucks be able to get on the same page ahead of the 2024 NBA Playoffs and ultimately make the sort of run everyone expected to see when they first got Lillard?

Time will tell, but if the Bucks don’t ultimately make a deep postseason run, it will do irreparable damage to Rivers’ legacy as a head coach.
