Fans are thinking “She Bad” after this slip-up.

Cardi B has always been known for her bold style, so it’s no surprise she stole the show at the 2024 Met Gala — but it wasn’t just her enormous black gown that made headlines.

The “WAP” rapper, 31, chatted with EMMA Chamberlain for Vogue on the red carPet, and when the YouTube creator asked Cardi B about her over-the-top look, she didn’t seem to know the name of her dress designer, saying, “they’re Asian and everything.”

“But do you feel amazing? Who made this?” Chamberlain asked, with the musician replying, “I feel amazing. It’s this amazing designer. They’re Asian and everything. So yeah.”

The Grammy winner rocked a billowing dress by Chinese label Windowsen that featured “nearly 3000 meters of organza” and represented garden soil, per designer Sensen Lii’s Instagram post, with the massive design requiring nine men to help her up the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s steps.

Fashion fans flocked to social media to express their disappointment that Cardi B didn’t give a shout-out to Windowsen, like one who commented on Vogue’s video, “Not knowing the name of the designer is lowkey insulting + calling them Asian and everything… no no!”

“Bro that Asian designer is going to forget her next year,” another YouTube user wrote.

Fans also jumped in to defend Lii on the designer’s Instagram account, with one commenting, in part, “Don’t worry about Cardi B not remembering your name, we all know who you are now – BABY!”

“I can’t believe all of the artistry and talent leant to her at the Met and you were simply reduced to ‘This Asian Designer’,” another wrote.

However, one Instagram user defended the singer, writing, “Did you ever forget a name? Calm down people. Jesus fkn christ.”

And while opinions may remain divided, one thing remains certain: Cardi B will always get people talking.
