Here’s What Candace Owens Said

Candace Owens appeared as a guest on ‘The Breakfast Club’ for an episode published via YouTube on Thursday, March 21. About 26 minutes into the hour-long interview, Charlamagne Tha God seemingly asked Owens about her “speaking a lot about the Black family” but marrying a white man.

The host explained that some people believe Black individuals should marry within their race because it promotes the group’s economic stability.

“It’s always very interesting for me to hear this paradox of Black people who will argue that the system is racist, then make an argument like this… that Black Americans and white Americans shouldn’t be marrying,” she explained. “I think the greatest thing ever is when people come together on the basis of who they love and get married.”

Owens explained that she never thought of her husband “as a race.” Or their children as “mixed.”

“I married the person that it made the most sense for me to marry,” she explained. “…It was difficult for me to find a partner that was a challenge to me… with my same interests… I fell in love with my husband just because I think he is one of the most brilliant people ever. I love him very much and the stuff that we talk about, there’s no other person I could have married.”

Social Media Reacts

Social media users entered The Shade Room’s comment section to share their mixed reactions to Owens’ explanation.

Instagram user @indigo_444_ wrote, She gave her reasons without degrading black men. Take notes.”

While Instagram user @threehoodoosisters remarked,She is the queen of deflection! Low key saying most black men don’t match her IQ. Claims racism and police brutality is warranted against black people.turns around and serves you family values apple pie! 😂 I will never side with her. I know how she feels about crimes against people of color, voters rights, and so many other 🗑️ she loves to spew.”

Instagram user @ashleyldalton_ wrote,Candance is essentially saying that she only dated men who were intellectually compatible and intellectually stimulating to her…. Theres nothing wrong with that.”

While Instagram user @younggeminii added,A Versuz with Dr Umar is needed 🤔”

Instagram user @daniellepondermusic wrote, “Candace Owens is on a PR tour to make y’all forget who she really is, and from the comments it’s clear it’s working wow”

While Instagram user @constantly_evolving_83 added, “So basically she doesn’t think black men are smart enough, got it! Or she couldn’t find a black man smart enough…ok 😏”

Instagram user @greg_d47 wrote, Your insecurities are making you think she’s saying black men don’t have the iq needed for her. But that’s the complete opposite of what she said. She literally stated “I never thought of my husband as a race”, but somehow people will take that as a slight to black men. Can’t make this s**t up 😂😂😂😂”

While Instagram user @stilltobz added, Tbh she didn’t lie. A lot of folks solely settle for looks and forget that intelligence is equally important”

Instagram user @maegen_thee_studentnurse wrote, I’m all for black love…and I can’t stand her…but let’s be clear. No one owes the world an explanation for marrying the person they chose. She’s grown, he’s grown….that’s it, that’s all.”

The Commentator Recently Caused A Stir After Speaking On THIS Rap Song

As The Shade Room previously reported, Owens also sparked reactions when she shared her thoughts on Ice Spice’s song ‘Think U The S**t (Fart)’ earlier this year.

“Think you the sh*t, b***h? You not even the fart. I be going hard, like?” Ice Spice raps in the single.

In response, Owens dropped some harsh words about the song, comparing it to the downfall of society.

“If you’re wondering whether or not it’s a good song, what do you think? It’s called ‘Think U The S**t (Fart).’ Now I think we can all admit that we’ve fallen as a society. I mean, I wouldn’t say that was Mozart or Beethoven,” she said.
