Brendan Rodgers Makes Encouraging Comments About Celtic’s Development
Celtic are becoming more like one of manager Brendan Rodgers’ teams as the season reaches a climactic end.
The gaffer is pleased with how his players are developing with them hitting form at a crucial period.
Indeed, the Hoops’ performance in their vital 3-0 win over Hearts on Saturday was arguably their best of the campaign.
Kyogo opened the scoring within the opening five minutes before making it 2-0 a quarter of an hour later thanks to a fine first-time finish from a beautiful, looping Matt O’Riley pass.
The Danish midfielder then put the icing on the cake late on with a spot-kick which rocketed into the top-right corner.
It was a fine afternoon in Glasgow’s east end and post-match, the gaffer admitted he is satisfied with how his players are developing and coming together as a team.
He said: [Planet Radio] “It’s felt it’s getting back to what I want it to be. A bit of the norm.
“I said before the first six months were a challenge for everyone and everything. But now you start to see a bit more of what a Celtic team of mine should look like.
“And still with a lot of work to do to get it to that point. But it’s certainly heading in the right direction.”
Throughout the season, there have been several disruptions to Celtic and Rodgers but now, things are coming together.
There is a clean bill of Health and the overall mood surrounding the club is positive heading into the Bhoys’ biggest Game of the season this Saturday.
