Bradley Cooper pays homage to Leonard Bernstein with his hoodie during shopping date with Gigi Hadid
The couple that shops together, stays together.
Bradley Cooper joined girlfriend Gigi Hadid for a breakfast date at Corner Bar in Chinatown on Monday, followed by a stop at the model-turned-designer’s Guest in Residence store in Soho.
Smiley as ever, the mom of one, 28, wore wide-leg jeans, a white T-shirt and a brown granny square cardigan for the date, accessorizing with Wales Bonner x Adidas Samba sneakers and her go-to DMY sunglasses ($255).
Cooper, 49, kept things a bit more casual — and honored Leonard Bernstein, the music legend he played in “Maestro” — in a black Musicians of the New York Philharmonic hoodie.
Bernstein served as the Philharmonic’s music director from 1958 to 1969, after which he was its laureate conductor until his death in 1990.
While Cooper’s exact style doesn’t appear to be available to purchase online, it’s certainly possible that the “Maestro” director received the sweater as a gift from the organization, perhaps last week when he made an appearance at a concert.
On Feb. 14, the orchestra honored “Maestro” with a performance of selections composed by Bernstein at Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall.
Current leader Yannick Nézet-Séguin served as a consultant on the film, which has been nominated for seven Oscars including best makeup, despite some controversy over Cooper’s prosthetic nose.
Cooper was on hand for the event, engaging in an on-stage chat while co-star Carey Mulligan — who plays Bernstein’s wife, actress Felicia Montealegre, in the Netflix film — sang “Façade – An Entertainment: Sir Beelzebub,” the same number her character performs for a TV show in the biopic.
The “Limitless” actor has sparked some ridicule for his emotional attachment to Bernstein, whom he never met but spent six years studying his conduct to prepare for “Maestro.”
In a resurfaced interview that recently went viral, Cooper blubbers about “missing” the late, great musician while seated next to Bernstein’s three children.

This isn’t the first time Cooper and Hadid have teamed up for a promotional date; after the actor wore a flannel shirt from Guest in Residence while out and about, his girlfriend repurposed his photo as an ad for her brand.
Even Cooper’s mom, Gloria Campano, got in on the fun, sporting a pair of rare sneakers from the model’s exclusive Adidas collaboration for her own trip to the Guest in Residence store.
And things seem to be heating up for the typically PDA-shy couple, with the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star purchasing a home near the blond beauty’s family farm in Pennsylvania.
