It’s no secret to anyone that any purebred puppies sold daily come from dog breeding farms where most of the females are inseminated multiple times, which allows for Business. very profitable.

But, what happens to puppies that are born with some defect or do not meet enough characteristics to be sold at a high price processed in the market?

Those puppies are abandoned and hopefully given to whoever wants them.

Unfortunately, they don’t always fall into the best hands, as is the case with Beaux Tox, a sweet and loving Labrador retriever who was born with a deformity in his skull. This made his face look completely different from other dogs of his breed. During the pregnancy, his little brothers compressed it and his head developed in that shape.

At birth no one wanted to buy it because of its appearance until finally its first owner ended up giving it away.

It was given to a man who lived in nearby Austin, Texas and was initially named “Lucky”; however, this man had many cats that did not get along with Lucky and he ended up being moved to the backyard.

The puppy did not have any type of comfort , he spent most of his time tied to a tree, received no attention and did not have a bed to rest.

Local rescue groups wanted to intervene, but after 5 years, Lucky didn’t know how to behave like an indoor dog.

He returned again and again to his first owner’s yard, until finally an angel crossed his path. A rescue group posted her photo on the Internet requesting an adoptive home and after several weeks she was seen by Jamie Hulit, a woman who loves animals, who promotes respect and rejects the injustices that are committed daily with them.

The moment she saw his photo, she knew she would help him and was willing to give him a better life.

Jamie contacted the people who had posted her photo and said she was willing to give her a home. After a few days, she was at the house of the man who had left Lucky for so long in her backyard.

“I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to find and I found a skinny, sick Labrador Retriever who needed a lot of help,” Jamie said.

“I didn’t care how sick he was, I just didn’t want him to continue going through different homes, ” said the woman who lived in foster homes for two years.

Jamie changed his name to Beaux Tox, and took him to the Hoegemeyer Animal Clinic in Kerrville, Texas, where he was diagnosed with malnutrition and the life-threatening “heartworm” parasite, as well as a serious flea and mite problem. in your ears.

He was very weak and Dr. Jay Rydberg determined that he had a 50/50 chance of survival, his body would not withstand the treatment for the parasite and he needed oxygen. One night Dr. Rydberg called Jamie to tell him that he couldn’t possibly make it, but he didn’t; Beaux Tox kept fighting and finally made it.

After a few weeks, he gained a few kilos and although he lost his hearing in one of his ears due to the mites, he received his treatment and his Health certificate.

Finally, she was able to take him home where an older brother, Riley, a 13-year-old Golden Retriever mix who has taught her how to behave inside the home, was waiting for them.

Beaux Tox also received therapy and training to help him adjust to his new life , and every effort has been worth it; he is a completely new and happy dog.

Jamie invested approximately $8,000 in the total recovery of this beautiful little dog that touched his heart.

She now has many friends both canine and feline because Jamie is such an active advocate. Also, she has a new sister who was also rescued named Scout that she can play with, the three of them get along very well and give Riley a little youth back.

Beaux Tox still has an affinity for the outdoors, but has learned to live indoors and enjoy the patio through the window.

A completely charming and inspiring story that shows that with love and dedication even the impossible can be achieved. This puppy always had a lot to give with a cheerful and playful personality, but his appearance made him spend 5 years of his life in abandonment.

Just look at the life he leads now, all the effort was worth it:

This story represents a beautiful act of generosity and kindness! Beaux Tox turns out to be a warrior with a spirit of discipleship who rose from adversity thanks to the noble woman who trusted him.
