Who will Carlos Alcaraz play next in the final at the 2024 Paris Olympics?

Carlos Alcaraz will face Novak Djokovic or Lorenzo Musetti in the final of the men’s singles Olympic Tennis tournament in Paris, after the Spaniard swept past Canada’s Félix Auger-Aliassime in the semi-finals today.

Alcaraz, who is competing in the first Summer Games of his career, demolished Auger-Aliassime in straight sets at Roland Garros, winning 6-1, 6-1 on Court Philippe-Chatrier.

Alcaraz must now wait to find out the identity of his opponent in the gold-medal match, with Musetti and top seed Djokovic due to face off in the second semi-final today at 1pm ET/10am PT.

When is the men’s singles gold-medal match?

The final of the Paris 2024 men’s singles tournament is scheduled to be played on Court Philippe-Chatrier on Sunday August 4.

According to the official Olympics schedule, it is the second match on the day’s order of play, after the women’s doubles bronze-medal clash. Sunday’s play is due to commence at 6am ET/3am PT.

Looking ahead to Sunday’s gold-medal match, Alcaraz said: “It’s going to be a really special moment for me, in my life, in my career, so I’m going to try and enjoy this moment because it’s going to be really difficult.”
