Who was Raiders coach Antonio Pierce talking about in his warning after loss to Panthers?

This past Sunday saw the Las Vegas Raiders go down to one of the worst teams in the league which in itself is bad, but when one considers the way in which the team did so, it’s much worse. To that end, it’s no surprise that the team’s head coach was less than kind when he spoke about how they will be moving forward.

Raiders’ Antonio Pierce isn’t playing around with his players

On Sunday evening, The Las Vegas Raiders fell to the Carolina Panthers in a Game that ended 36–22. Unsurprisingly, that was not at all pleasing to Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce who was blunt in his assessment of the situation following the defeat. To be clear, the Raiders conceded more than 400 scriMMAge yards to the Panthers who at 1-2 are simply not good, meaning the result was more than embarrassing and that’s something Pierce appears to have taken issue with.

Indeed, that was made clear by the coach when he appeared to take aim at his own players. “As the Game went on, I think there were definitely some individuals who made Business decisions, and we’ll make Business decisions going forward as well,” Pierce during the postGame press conference.

Now, while the 45-year-old did not call anyone by name, one can imagine that it didn’t take long before fans began to speculate about who he was referring to, with many suggesting that it may have been star wide receiver Davante Adams. The former Green Bay Packers player was seen visibly angry on the bench during the loss. Adams registered just four catches for 40 yards in the loss.

As for the rest, it should be said that Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew did not have a good Game, ending with 214 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Yet, as much as the offense failed to produce, one could argue that the defense was even worse. Frankly, the Raiders simply couldn’t deal with the Panthers’ seemingly well-organized offense, allowing Andy Dalton to put up more than 300 yards in the air while running back Chuba Hubbard covered more than 100 yards on the ground. At this point, the Raiders now sit on a record of 1-2 as they prepare for a clash with the Cleveland Browns next. Expect to see Pierce making changes.
