When does Caitlin Clark play next? How to watch Fever - Sparks online and on TV | WNBA
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever head to California on the back of a clean sweep of defeats so far in the 2024 WNBA season, with a clash against the Los Angeles Sparks up next for the league’s bottom-ranked team.
The Fever registered their fifth loss in five Games this term on Wednesday, when they were edged out by the Seattle Storm in a 85-83 loss in Washington state.
Despite watching her team be beaten once again, Fever head coach Christie Sides praised the attitude shown by her players out on the Climate Pledge Arena court, where Clark was again the visitors’ top scorer with 21 points.
“[I’m] so proud of what they did,” Sides told reporters post-Game. “They’re trying to do everything we ask them to do - and that’s all you can ask. We’ve had some tough ones; we’ve put ourselves these last two Games with an opportunity to win, and we’ve just got to figure out a way to finish these Games.”
What did Clark say after Seattle Storm loss?
Indiana’s defeat to the Storm was the fourth game this year in which star guard Clark - the No. 1 overall pick in April’s WNBA Draft - has led the Fever’s scoring. The 22-year-old former Iowa Hawkeye, who has averaged 17.8 points this season, also registered seven assists and seven rebounds in Seattle.
“I definitely had a little bit of a slow start, but I’m proud of my resilience,” Clark said of her performance against the Storm. “I thought I came back and played a really good second half.
“I was able to take care of the ball - for the most part, we were all able to take care of the ball. Eleven turnovers is really good, we’ll take that. But our problem was offensive rebounding. They kind of killed us on the glass.”
Just over 18,300 fans watched the game at a sell-out Climate Pledge Arena - a record home attendance for the Storm. Chiefly fuelled by Clark’s presence in the team, Indiana have packed out every arena they have played in this term.
“It’s pretty incredible, that crowd and the environment - it was great,” Clark said on Wednesday. “Just looking around, there was just like a sea of people on both sides and behind the baskets.”
When is the Indiana Fever’s next game and can I watch it?
In their sixth Game of the 2024 WNBA regular season, the Indiana Fever take on the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday 24 May 2024, with tip-off at Crypto.com Arena scheduled for 10pm ET/7pm PT. Viewers in the United States will be able to watch the match-up on ION.
You can stream the Fever vs the Sparks live online on fuboTV, which offers users a free trial.
What have the Sparks’ WNBA results been in 2024?
The Sparks sit just two places above the Fever in the regular-season standings, albeit Curt Miller’s team have only played three games so far. After opening their campaign with defeats to the Atlanta Dream and the Las Vegas Aces, Los Angeles secured their first win of the season on Tuesday, beating the Washington Mystics 70-68.
Like the Fever, who have not made the WNBA Playoffs since 2016, the Sparks are bidding to return to the postseason this year. The Californians last progressed beyond the regular season in 2020.
After visiting the Sparks, the Fever complete their west-coast road trip with a clash against the Las Vegas Aces in Nevada on Saturday 26 May.
