On Sunday, during the 16-10 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur shared that Malik Willis decided to run with the ball instead of passing it on a third-down attempt. This decision was prompted by the unexpected event of the center, Josh Myers, vomiting on the ball.

On that critical third-and-10 play, Willis went off-script, opting to run instead of following the designated play.

After the Game, Green Bay coach Matt LeFleur disclosed that Willis made this impromptu decision because center Josh Myers had inadvertently vomited on the ball just before the snap. This is what the Green Bay head coach, Matt LaFleur, said about the incident against the Colts.

“Matter of fact, the official [Shawn Hochuli] came over to me and said, ‘You know, we saw your center throwing up on the ball. Do you want us to take him out next time?’ I said, ‘Absolutely, please do that.’ Because, I mean, you’re talking about a critical situation. It’s third down, and I’ve never had a throw with vomit on a football, so I don’t know. Malik probably didn’t appreciate that.”

Apart from this vomiting-passing-not throwing incident, the Green Bay Packers secured a 16-10 victory against the Indianapolis Colts at Lambeau Field on Sunday.

The win was propelled by a strong performance from Josh Jacobs and the run Game (almost 250 yards in total), solid defensive play from Jeff Hafley’s team, three successful field goals from Brayden Narveson, and impactful plays from Malik Willis.
