The Chicago Bulls finally seem to be coming around to the fact that a complete overhaul of their roster is necessary.

A few years ago, it seemed like Chicago could be a legitimate Eastern Conference contender build around DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic. But then things fell apart almost a quickly as they came together.

Now DeRozan is with the Sacramento Kings, LaVine is on the verge of being traded and Vucevic also appears to be on the outs.

According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, Vucevic’s asking price is a matter of public record in league circles now.

The Los Angeles Lakers have made it no secret that they are looking for a center. Vucevic could fit the bill.

“Vucevic’s $20 million salary, with a third and final season to go at $21.5 million in 2025-26, is far more palatable for teams to absorb,” Fischer wrote. “One GM told me he would put the two-time All-Star’s likely price point in a trade at two second-round picks.”

L.A. clearly wants to make a big move. And two second-rounders is much more in line with what they are willing to pay for a center than the first-round picks other squads are demanding for their bigs.
