Her video went viral on the platform, receiving nearly 300,000 views and leaving hundreds of people scratching their heads.
“Guys, I’m in Kmart, and there’s this bunny just sitting here,” she said in the video.
“It’s a real bunny. I think it’s real.
“What? Whose rabbit is this?”
Getting a closer look, she saw its nose twitch, confirming it was a real bunny and not just a Kmart plush toy.
“It is real. That is real,” she said.
“Oh my God, someone collect their bunny rabbit from Kmart.”
People were in shock at Kennedy’s find during her Kmart shop.
“Awwww poor bunny,” wrote one person.
“Poor little thing!” another said.
“Please tell me you rescued them,” a third commented.
One Kmart worker in the comment section wasn’t as surprised as everyone else was.
“I work at Kmart and I’ve seen dogs, cats, birds, lizards...” they wrote.
Questions answered
Most of all, people in the comment section were on the edge of their seats wanting to know if the bunny made it back to its owners or not.
“I need to know what happened to the bunny! Did someone pick the bunny up? Why is it there? So many questions!” someone asked.
Responding to all the questions, Kennedy uploaded another video, explaining what happened next.
“Ok guys, update on the bunny — I know everyone is very invested in this,” she said in the following video, which received more than 45,000 views.
“I did a few laps of the section that the bunny was in, looking like an absolute weirdo.
“But I was just sussing everyone out being like, ‘is that your bunny? Are you the parent?’
“Anyway, the parents were there. It was a couple, and they just picked up the bunny, put the bunny on their shoulder and proceeded to stroll through Kmart.
“I think it’s very bizarre. People are f****** weird.”
