The Sun had the edge over Indiana during the regular season, winning the first three Games (92-71, 88-84, 89-72) but lost the most recent Game 84-80 back at the tail end of August but in Game one of the best of three series on Sunday night, Connecticut outmuscled the Fever with a comprehensive 83-69 win.

A packed house at the Mohegan Sun Arena were expectant and despite a solid showing in the first quarter from the visitors, Sun stars DeWanna Bonner and Marina Mabrey kicked into gear bagging 22 and 27 points respectively during the contest.

Fresh from her Rookie of the Season win, Caitlin Clark failed to get into the swing of the Game only managing 11 points as the Fever were eclipsed by the Sun.

This is the 13th time that Indiana Fever have made it to the playoffs.
