The Pirates played a pair of Games versus the Detroit Tigers this week. Pittsburgh managed to split those two, losing 8-0 before a 10-2 blowout win. After a 5-3 loss to the Blue Jays on Friday, in Game two the Pirates posted three runs in the first inning and cruised to the win 8-1. Toronto Blue Jays vs Pittsburgh Pirates Prediction
I’ll stick with the Jays. Bassitt took a loss on May 17 versus the Rays with three earned in 5.2 innings. He’s been great since then, though. Over his last pair Bassitt is 2-0 with zero earned runs on 10 hits and two walks in 12.0 combined innings of work.
On Saturday the Blue Jays had a tepid six team hits—with four of those coming from Vladimir Guerrero (run) and Daniel Vogelbach (RBI). The pitching was pretty shaky overall as well. Toronto has some ground to make up but I think they’ll be okay for Sunday.
