Max was originally launched as HBO Max in the US back in 2020. Four years on, it’s since dropped “HBO” from its name and has launched a number of original programming, which include the Elizabeth Olsen miniseries Love & Death, the gripping crime thriller Tokyo Vice, the award-winning post-apocalyptic drama The Last of Us, and many more.

But Max wasn’t available anywhere in Asia. Now that Max is coming to HK and other Southeast Asian countries, that’s set to change.

Since Max is the exclusive streaming home for groundbreaking HBO Originals, you’ll get to witness a slate of interesting content. This includes Dune: Prophecy, the Game of Thrones prequel, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, IT: Welcome to Derry, the upcoming Harry Potter series, and new seasons of House of the Dragon, The White Lotus, The Last of Us and so much more.

What will the subscription prices for Max be?

As of the writing of this article, there are no details yet as to what the pricing will be per tier. Keep your eyes peeled for updates.

When is Max launching?

Max will be available here in Hong Kong as well as in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, and the Philippines on November 19.
