Scott Brown Confirmed For Celtic Masters; Full Squad Announced
Scott Brown has been confirmed as the headliner for Celtic’s squad in this year’s Masters Sixers comPetition, an event that sees former Footballing greats return to the pitch.
The Hoops will once again assemble a team to comPete in the tournament, which features some household names if you’re a Celtic fan.
The six-a-side tournament is set to take place in Aberdeen’s P&J Live Arena, a new venue for the comPetition. Alongside Celtic, the event will also feature teams from Rangers, Aberdeen, and Dundee United, guaranteeing a bit of needle for the Game.
Brown, a Celtic legend after his iconic career at the club, will lead the team. The former captain is joined by a stellar cast of former Celtic stars, including Stiliyan Petrov, Charlie Mulgrew, Simon Donnelly, Gary Hooper, Darren O’Dea, Joe Ledley, and the not so well known goalkeeper Michael McGovern. Together, they’ll be aiming to retain the Masters Sixers trophy, having lifted it last year.
Scott Brown is currently the manager of Ayr United in the Championship where they top the table on goal difference. However, Falkirk have two games in hand to leapfrog Scott’s side.
The former midfielder is never too far away from a Celtic event and we’ll be delighted to see him pull on the hoops again.
