Resident Evil 4 Remake To Get A Special Demo Soon

PlayStation and Capcom has announced during the latest State of Play showcase that Resident Evil 4 Remake will be getting a special demo before launch alongside a new Gameplay trailer which showed off more locations, encounters, and a couple of boss fights. We didn't get a specific release date for the demo, but considering the Game launches next month, it's expected it will drop at some point in the next few weeks.

As for the trailer itself, we saw a whole bunch of interesting action set pieces, including very short clips of Leon taking down two El Gigantes and the knife fight with Major Krauser. Other interesting little bits of the trailer include a section where Ashley is walking through a dark library with a lantern. The more interesting part of this segment is that Ashley seems to be playable, which is something that wasn't included in the original Game.

Another section of the trailer also gave us more wholesome Luis content, who seems to have much more of a role to play this time around. We don't get to see too much, but the trailer does include a hectic minecart fight with Leon and Luis snuggled up in the same cart.

We also got a little teaser for the Game's Mercenaries mode, although how in-depth or fleshed out it will be is currently unknown. We do know that the mode won't be launching with the Game on March 24 though, as it was confirmed after the show that it will be added as free post-launch DLC.

The Resident Evil 4 Remake demo wasn't the only big announcement of the show either, as Capcom also gave us a look at three new fighters coming to Street Fighter 6. It was revealed that Zangief and Cammy will be returning, but we also got a look at newcomer Lily who seems to be channeling her inner Rashid. We don't know when they'll be added, but Street Fighter 6 itself launches on June 2 later this year.
