Premier League predictions: Gameweek 38
One last push, everybody. We're so close to finishing one of the longest Premier League seasons in recent memory.
The final day of the campaign promises to be a much quieter affair than was previously anticipated - the guys who paid five-figure sums to watch Arsenal's planned trophy-lift at home to Wolves must be feeling pretty foolish right now.
Nevertheless, there's still plenty of drama expected this Sunday. Here are 90min's predictions for Gameweek 38.

Premier League predictions: Week 38
The main action from the day will come from the bottom of the table, where two teams from a possible three candidates will be relegated alongside Southampton to the Championship.
Starting the day in 17th place will be Everton, who will secure safety with a win and are the only team of the trio with their fate in their own hands. They take on Bournemouth at Goodison Park and will need to end a pretty torrid run of results against the Cherries to beat the drop.
If Everton fail to win, that will open the door to Leicester City to escape the relegation zone. The Foxes will claw their way to safety if they beat West Ham United and the Toffees fail to win.
Should both Everton and Leicester stumble, then Leeds United can secure a miraculous escape if they beat an out of sorts Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road.
Spurs themselves are fighting to secure the last European place, but they will need a helping hand from elsewhere. If Aston Villa beat Europa League-bound Brighton & Hove Albion, then they will be heading to the Europa Conference League.
Should Villa and Tottenham fail to win, then Brentford will earn a maiden trip to Europe with victory against title-winners Manchester City.
All Games will kick off at 16:30 (BST) on Sunday 28 May
Fixture | Result |
---|---|
Arsenal vs Wolves | 3-1 |
Aston Villa vs Brighton | 2-2 |
Brentford vs Man City | 2-1 |
Chelsea vs Newcastle | 0-2 |
Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest | 3-1 |
Everton vs Bournemouth | 2-2 |
Leeds vs Tottenham | 3-2 |
Leicester vs West Ham | 1-1 |
Man Utd vs Fulham | 2-1 |
Southampton vs Liverpool | 0-3 |
In the essential dead rubber games, Manchester United can wrap up third spot at home to Fulham in a rematch of one of the season's more fiery encounters.
The Red Devils will be beaten to the metaphorical bronze medal if they lose and Newcastle United are able to get past the hapless Chelsea (which is likely, so Erik ten Hag's men will have to see off the Whites).
Rock-bottom Southampton will be put out of their misery after 90 minutes against fifth-placed Liverpool, while runners-up Arsenal round off a memorable campaign against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates Stadium.
And lastly, Roy Hodgson's final Game as Crystal Palace manager sees the Eagles face off against Nottingham Forest, high on the celebrations of beating the drop.
