The San Francisco Giants and the Pittsburgh Pirates meet Wednesday in MLB action from PNC Park. Here’s a Pittsburgh Pirates vs San Francisco Giants prediction. This will be the second installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.
San Francisco Giants Betting Preview
Over the weekend, the Giants took on the Colorado Rockies. San Francisco powered out a sweep in those Games with wins 10-5, 14-4 and 4-1. On Tuesday in the series opener versus the Pirates, the Giants took a 7-6 loss in 10 innings after blowing a 6-2 lead. Logan Webb put up 6.0 innings with two earned runs on six hits and a walk as starter.
In the starting pitcher role for the Giants on Wednesday it’ll be Blake Snell. So far this year Snell is 0-3 with a 11.57 ERA and 12 Ks in 11.2 innings in three starts. Over his career Snell is 71-58 with a 3.30 ERA in 194 starts.

On Tuesday the Pirates scored four runs in the ninth inning to trigger the epic comeback. Martin Perez left after 4.1 innings in the start, giving up two earned on five hits and three walks.
It’ll be Jared Jones in the starting pitcher role for the Pirates on Wednesday. This year (his first season of MLB activity) Jones is 3-4 with a 2.89 ERA in nine starts. Jones has 63 Ks in 53.0 innings total.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs San Francisco Giants Prediction
I’ll take a stab on the Pirates. Pittsburgh should get a decent start out of Jones. In his last three outings combined, Jones has five earned runs on 15 hits and two walks in 20.0 combined innings. Jones is 1-1 in that trio.
In the Tuesday opener of this set, the Pirates were pretty quiet with the bats until the ninth inning. Pittsburgh would end up with 11 team hits in a nice performance, though. The Pirates’ offense will have to contend with a returning Snell fresh off the Injured List on Wednesday, so this will be interesting.
