The week in Major League Baseball continues with a more-than-full 16-game slate on Tuesday. That’s because the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets are making up Monday’s rainout with a doubleheader. The schedule also includes Red Sox vs Orioles, Cubs vs Brewers, Phillies vs Giants and Diamondbacks vs Rangers in a rematch of the 2023 World Series. Let’s dive into my MLB parlay picks for Tuesday, May 28, while you can also find out our MLB picks for today’s matchups.

Dodgers -1.5 (Game 2) (+115)

Brewers -1.5 (+130)

Astros ML (+114)

MLB parlay odds: +958

For this MLB parlay, I am going with 2 favorites on the run line and 1 underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 over New York Mets (Game 2) (+115)

Gavin Stone was penciled in as L.A.’s starter on Monday but will now work the nightcap of Tuesday’s doubleheader. Stone may not be at the top of the Dodgers’ loaded rotation, but he has been solid this season to the tune of a 4-2 record and a 3.60 ERA. Toeing the rubber for New York is Jose Quintana, who is 1-4 with a 5.13 ERA. The Dodgers have done well against left-handed pitchers so far this year as they rank 5th in MLB in batting average at .271 and 4th in OPS at .780. It’s hard to see Quintana containing a lineup that features Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman. Look for Los Angeles to win and cover.

Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 over Chicago Cubs (+130)

Milwaukee opened this series between the top 2 teams in the NL Central with a 5-1 win. That pushed the Cubs’ losing streak to 5 Games and they have also lost 8 of their last 10. Most of that damage has also come against division opponents, which has made the losing streak extra costly. Offense has been the biggest culprit; Chicago has scored no more than 3 runs in 4 of the 5 contests during this skid. I don’t see the Cubs getting out of the funk today. Milwaukee’s Freddy Peralta is on the mound and his stuff is filthy even if his 2024 numbers are unspectacular. The Cubs are countering with Ben Brown, which pretty much amounts to a bullpen day. It’s a ‘pen that is missing 2 of its most important high-leverage arms, too, so Chicago is not in great shape for this matchup. Give me the Brewers to win big.

Houston Astros ML over Seattle Mariners (+114)

Things are turning around for the Astros slowly but surely. After winning 12 of their first 36 Games to begin the season in horrific fashion, they have since won 12 of their last 16 Games. Tuesday starter Hunter Brown has been a small contributor to the turnaround. It’s not saying a whole lot, but after losing his first 5 outings he has since won 2 of his last 5. The right-hander compiled a laughable 11.84 ERA in April but in May he is at 3.98 through 4 appearances. Brown should have a good chance to handle the Mariners, who have dropped 4 of their last 6 contests and have scored 3 runs or fewer in 5 of those 6. Luis Castillo is going for Seattle and he is saddled with a 4-6 record so far in 2024. The Astros have good value as moderate underdogs.
