The Colorado Rockies and the Minnesota Twins meet Wednesday in MLB action from Target Field. Here’s a Minnesota Twins vs Colorado Rockies prediction. This will be the final installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.
Colorado Rockies Betting Preview
The Rockies played the St. Louis Cardinals over the weekend. Colorado managed wins 3-2 Thursday and 6-5 Saturday but otherwise lost the other two Games. After a 5-0 loss to the Twins on Monday, in Game two the Rockies scored four runs in the sixth during a 5-4 win. Cal Quantrill managed 6.0 clean frames in the start with three hits and a walk.
In the starter role for the Rockies on Wednesday it’ll be Austin Gomber. In his 12 starts so far this year Gomber is 1-3 with a 3.38 ERA and 47 Ks in 66.2 innings. Gomber is 31-31 with a 4.72 ERA in 138 career games (94 starts).
Minnesota Twins Betting Preview
Over on the Twins’ side, they played the Pittsburgh Pirates in their weekend series. Minnesota lost the first two Games of that set 3-0 and 4-0, then staved off the sweep with an 11-5 win in the finale. On Tuesday the Twins made a good comeback effort but fell short. Starter Louie Varland had one hit, zero earned, one walk and three Ks.
It’ll be Pablo Lopez in the starting pitcher role for the Twins on Wednesday. So far this year Lopez is 5-6 with a 5.45 ERA in 13 starts. He’s got 79 Ks in 71.0 innings. Lopez is 44-45 with a 4.01 ERA in 139 career Games. The Twins will meet the A’s after this series.

Rockies SP Antonio Senzatela (elbow) threw a bullpen session at Busch Stadium on Saturday. 2B Brendan Rodgers (left hamstring strain) likely won’t need to stay on the IL for longer than the minimum 10 days.

Minnesota Twins vs Colorado Rockies Prediction
I’ll take a stab on the Rockies. Probably not touching this one, though. Gomber had a good start versus the A’s back on May 22 with one earned in 8.0 innings. Since then he’s been choppy with seven earned over 8.0 innings. As for Lopez, he’s given up 13 earned in 8.2 innings combined over two of his last three starts (one earned in 7.0 innings in the other).
On Tuesday the Rockies got most of their damage via a three-run homer from Ezequiel Tovar. He and Ryan McMahon (two hits; two runs; homer) were about the only ones contributing on offense, though. Colorado needs to get the bats going Wednesday, but I think they’ve got a shot at another victory.
