Karl-Anthony Towns Names The NBA’s GOAT

Karl-Anthony Towns is one of the most notable stars in the NBA today.

While nobody would argue that he is the best player in the league, he is definitely impactful.

Because of that, he is uniquely qualified to assess who the NBA’s GOAT is.

In his estimation – the answer is clear.

“Like I said, I’m always going to speak based on what I see with my own two eyes,” Towns said.

“LeBron is the best we’ve ever seen… talent wise, just straight off the rip he’s the best player”

“I can’t speak for everything, but that man [LeBron James] is different. That man Bron is something special. I’ve been in the league for 10 years now, so I’ve seen Bron at so many different stages.

“I feel that Bron is the best player we’ve ever seen, talent-wise. I think he’s the best player. You can get caught up in championships and rings, and all that stuff—that’s up to people to debate. But when we talk about pure talent and tangible size, to be the best basketball player, you’ve got to have all these different attributes. And look at how he’s done it—with the scrutiny, the criticism, everything.”

Towns didn’t stop there, though.

“Bron’s the best player we’ve seen. He’s developed that three-point shot really well and has defended at a high level for all those years. His athleticism? I don’t know if anyone in the NFL could still jump as high as he could while doing what he was doing. His comPetitiveness, his approach—everything about the way he played was at the highest level.”

Everyone has their own logic for assessing the GOAT, but it’s hard to argue with Towns’ assessment here.
