James McFadden Believes Celtic Are “Prepared” For Slovan Bratislava Challenge
Former Scotland forward James McFadden has revealed he believes this could be the season Celtic make their mark in the Champions League.
Speaking pre-match, McFadden was open about Celtic’s past struggles but expressed hope that the team can turn around a disappointing decade in European Football.
He said: (BBC Sportsound), “You have to have a strong squad to comPete. This is a squad that is constructed to deal with a season.
“This is a squad that can play in any Game, league, cup, Champions League, it doesn’t matter.
“Celtic are much better prepared this season. On paper, this squad are capable of dealing with the demands of big Game after big Game.”
McFadden is spot on, Celtic have never been more prepared.
Tonight, the Hoops have the chance to deliver a positive performance and secure a crucial win to kick off their Champions League campaign on the right note.
With a successful summer transfer window, the Hoops look stronger than last season, a promising sign for Brendan Rodgers.
