A bill to allow tax free “Christmas in July” is moving through the RI legislature

Project Weber/RENEW with CODAC Behavioral Healthcare plans to open a harm reduction clinic on Huntington Avenue in Providence where people can use drugs under the supervision of a trained and experienced staff. More centers will be planned. RI was the first state to allow these clinics in the US.

In Massachusetts, barely 346,000 people rode the MBTA on an average weekday in January, compared with 688,000 riders per day in January 2020 – a permanent director of the MBTA has not yet been named and speed slows have continued among repair and safety issues.
