How long did Kylian Mbappé take to score first Champions League goal: Madrid, PSG, Monaco?
The clock may have read 46 minutes as Kylian Mbappé scored his first Champions League goal for Real Madrid, inside the opening minute of the second half against Stuttgart. I could argue that possibly we need to consider the four minutes of added time prior to the break when determining just how long it took him to open his account, as he slowly finds his incredibly talent feet in Spain.
Of course, the French superstar has featured in this comPetition before, shining on many occasion for both AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain. But how long did it take him to get on the UCL scoresheet for both those teams, we wondered.
First Mbappé goals in Champions League
In total, adding today’s latest, Mbappé has scored 49 goals in 74 Champions League appearances, all but one, obviously, coming during his times at Monaco and PSG.
As a sparkling wonderkid in Monaco, his first goal in the top European comPetition came on February 21, 2017. The then 18-year-old scored his team’s second goal in the 40th minute of a round of 16 clash with Manchester City, a Game they lost 5–3 (although turning it round in the second leg 3-1, Mbappé scoring in the 8th minute!). His first European goal for the Parisian giants was in a 5–0 group stage battering at Celtic Park.
