12:40 pm ET Parx (Race 1) – Live Aid 5/2 (2-star play)

The daughter of Maclean’s Music has shown good form at this level in two starts since joining the Mary A Pattershall barn earlier this year. The first of those saw the mare place second when beaten six-and-a-half-lengths over seven furlongs here in April. The drop to six furlongs appeared to suit when dueling for the lead prior to registering a one-and-a-half-length victory in a six furlong contest here just under a month ago. Looks capable of completing a double.  

3:29 pm ET Parx (Race 8) – Jump Shot 9/5 (2-star play)

Trainer Haleem R Lee can boast a 20% strike-rate (12/60) at this meeting and his gelding has come within a head of boosting that on each of his last two starts. The pick has delivered a third place finish on each of those two starts including in a six-and-a-half-furlong $8,000 starter event last month. Had previously filled the same position under his rider here Silvestre Gonzalez over this six furlong trip and he looks up to recording a victory.

4:25 pm ET Parx (Race 9) – Pudding 2/1 (2-star play)

The veteran performer delivered a stakes victory in the Benny The Bull Stakes over seven furlongs at Gulfstream Park in August last year. The Two Step Salsa gelding has made just the two subsequent starts however including when delivering a two-and-three-quarter-length victory in a $62,500 allowance optional claimer at the same venue at the start of October. Claimed by currently connections subsequently he is expected to prove hard to beat making his first start at this venue.
