Celtic mounted an impressive second-half comeback to secure a 5-2 win over Falkirk in the quarter-finals of the Premier Sports Cup.

Trailing 2-1 at half-time, the Hoops turned the Game around in the second half, with substitute Nicolas Kühn playing a pivotal role in the comeback.

His impact was felt immediately, as he not only scored crucial goals but also provided key assists, helping to shift the momentum in Celtic’s favour.

The match began with a shock as Falkirk struck first in the 11th minute.

Ross MacIver’s well-placed shot from outside the box capitalised on a mix-up in the Celtic defence, leaving goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel with no chance.

Despite the early setback, Celtic responded tenaciously, equalising in the 21st minute when Paulo Bernardo fired a right-footed shot from the center of the box, assisted by Álex Valle.

However, just before the break, Falkirk regained the lead when Finn Yeats headed home from close range, making it 2-1 at half-time.

The Bhoys went into the break looking for answers as they faced a tough challenge from John McGlynn’s side.

The second half was a different story, and Nicolas Kühn quickly made his mark.

Coming on in the 61st minute, he set up Adam Idah nine minutes later for the equaliser with an incredible cross along the Falkirk box, allowing Idah to tap in and bring the score to 2-2.

Kühn would find Idah less than a minute later just outside the Falkirk defence.

The Hoops striker slid the ball through the defence and calmly slotted it past Nicky Hogarth, putting Celtic ahead for the first time in the Game.

Two goals in just two minutes showcased the rapid turnaround led by Kuhn and Idah.

Kühn would then get on the scoresheet, calmly chipping Hogarth after finding himself through on goal in the 81st minute, thanks to a great pass from record signing Arne Engels.

The German winger then added a second goal just minutes later, striking a stunning left-footed shot from outside the box into the bottom right corner.

This quick double sealed the Game for Celtic, showcasing Kühn’s clinical finishing and creativity contributing to an impressive 5-2 win in the second half.

Falkirk would see a player sent off late in the Game when Michael McKenna received a red card for violent conduct in the 90th minute.
