Erling Haaland reveals how he's been spending the last month in amusing Sky advert
While most of Football's biggest stars taking to the pitch at the World Cup over the past month, Erling Haaland has had to sit out and watch on from home.
The Manchester City striker's home country of Norway failed to qualify for the tournament, leaving Haaland twiddling his thumbs this winter despite being European football's top marksman so far this season.
In the time since, Haaland has teamed up with Sky to produce an amusing advert detailing his activities while he awaits the return of his teammates from international duty.
The 22-year-old is seen taking a stab at some groundskeeper work on a ride-on lawnmower, attempting to call Jack Grealish and getting declined, and even using a free-kick dummy as a stand-in for Kevin De Bruyne.
The advert humorously plays on the relationship that Haaland and De Bruyne have struck up in recent months, with the duo combining for countless goals in the Premier League already.
While the advert provides a comedic take on how the best striker in the Premier League has spent this quiet period, City fans will no doubt be buzzing to see Haaland, De Bruyne and co take to the field in sky blue once again when the league resumes on Boxing Day.
Prior to that, however, fans will watch on as City face rivals Liverpool in a mammoth Carabao Cup third round tie on 22 December.
