Apple has issued an urgent alert for all iPhone users – and this is one that no-one should ignore.
All iPhone owners have been urged to go into their settings as soon as possible and check for a surprise update: iOS 16.1.1.

Apple say the new iPhone update has several security changes that will help protect your phone from hackers, stopping them from terminating apps and running code to spy on you.
“This update includes bug fixes and security updates and is recommended for all users,” advises Apple.
“A remote user may be able to cause unexpected app termination or arbitrary code execution.”
