This week, the PGA Tour travels to Ohio for the 2024 Memorial Tournament. Let’s take a look at this week’s event from a Draftkings perspective.

Before I dive into my Draftkings player selections for this tournament let’s review the Golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a Golfer’s success at this week’s 2024 Memorial Tournament.

Where will the Memorial Tournament be played?

The 2024 Memorial Tournament will be played at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,569 yards.

2024 Memorial Tournament Draftkings Picks

Corey Conners $8,500

Corey Conners arrives at this week’s event on the heels of three consecutive top 26 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a sixth-place result at last week’s 2024 RBC Canadian Open.

In relation to this week’s 2024 Memorial Tournament field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Corey Conners ranks eighth in strokes gained tee to green, first in strokes gained approach, third in GIR (greens in regulation), and seventh in birdie or better percentage.

Corey Conners has posted a quality result at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in the past. More specifically, Conners finished 13th at the 2022 Memorial Tournament.

Thomas Detry $6,800

Since the beginning of April, Thomas Detry has played six tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those six events just mentioned, Detry accumulated four top 28 finishes, including an impressive fourth place result at the 2024 PGA Championship three weeks ago.

Due to Thomas Detry’s outstanding finish at the 2024 PGA Championship I decided to take a close look at the relevant player statistics for the event to see how Detry fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of comPetitive play at the 2024 PGA Championship, in relation to the field, Thomas Detry ranked 11th in strokes gained tee to green (8.1), third in bogey avoidance (5), and 20th in driving distance (305.7).

Lee Hodges $6,500

Lee Hodges arrives at this week’s event in rather good form. Hodges has accumulated three consecutive top 24 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 12th place result at the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge two weeks ago.

Hodges also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Let’s take a quick look at Lee Hodges recent player data to better shed light on my previous statement.

In relation to this week’s 2024 Memorial Tournament field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Lee Hodges ranks sixth in strokes gained approach, 16th in strokes gained putting, eighth in birdie or better percentage, and 16th in GIR (greens in regulation).

Additionally, Lee Hodges finished 12th at the 2023 Memorial Tournament. In my opinion, Lee Hodges presents the best fantasy value of any Golfer on this Draftkings slate.
