The Milwaukee Brewers and the Detroit Tigers meet Friday in MLB action from Comerica Park. Here’s a Detroit Tigers vs Milwaukee Brewers prediction. This will be the first installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.
Milwaukee Brewers Betting Preview
The Brewers took on the Philadelphia Phillies in their last series. Milwaukee had some issues in the first two Games, losing Monday 3-1 and Tuesday 2-1. In the finale on Wednesday, the Brewers took a 2-0 shutout loss. Starter Aaron Ashby finished with 5.0 innings, two earned, two hits and five walks.
For the Friday starting pitcher role the Brewers didn’t immediately announce a name. The Brewers will meet the Blue Jays after this series.
Detroit Tigers Betting Preview
Over on the Tigers’ side, they played the Texas Rangers in their last set. Detroit managed wins in the first pair 2-1 and 3-1. In the series finale Wednesday, the Tigers took a blowout loss 9-1. Starting pitcher Kenta Maeda exited after just two pitches due to abdominal discomfort.
As starter for Friday’s Game the Tigers are sending out Reese Olson. This year Olson is 1-6 with a 2.48 ERA and 52 Ks in 61.2 innings over 11 starts. Olson is 6-13 with a 3.43 ERA in 32 career Games (29 starts).

Detroit Tigers vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction
I’ll probably take a stab on the Tigers. Olson does need a good bounce-back effort, though. In his last start Olson gave up five earned runs on six hits and a walk over 5.1 innings in Boston. Olson was good in the start before that versus the Blue Jays though, notching 6.1 clean frames on three hits and three walks in a victory.
Detroit’s offense will need a shot in the arm as well following their dismal two-hit performance on Wednesday in the finale versus the Rangers. The Tigers mustered just six runs in three Games during that series, but the good news is that they won two of those outings.
