It’s a rematch of last season’s Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers. Boston took care of business in 4 games; can the Pacers motivate themselves to get revenge this time around? I’ve prepared a Same Game Parlay for tonight’s game, tip-off is at 7 PM ET on ESPN.

Over 233.5 Total Points (-112)

Defense has not been a forte of this Pacers team ever since Rick Carlisle took over as head coach back in 2021. Through the first 4 Games they’re once again in the bottom 10 of opponent points per Game, the loss of James Wiseman has really hurt them on the interior and teams are just taking advantage. That’s not a good sign when you have the defending champions coming to town. Boston actually leads the league in offensive rating and is averaging 126.1 points per 100 possessions, with a total of 6 players on their roster averaging double figure points. Pace will be high in this Game, at least if we judge it on the previous 5 meetings last season. These two teams are averaging 237.3 points per Game over the last 10 meetings, while clearing this line in 4 of 5 regular season meetings last year. I’m taking the over here.

Pascal Siakam to Score 20+ Points (-145)

One of the players that will help us get over the total is Pascal Siakam. After coming over from the Toronto Raptors last season, Siakam impressed with his play, especially on the offensive end and was rewarded with a new 4-year contract extension. He’s off to yet another solid start to the season, averaging 18.5 points per Game through the first 4 Games. That’s especially impressive considering the struggles of Indy’s best player Tyrese Haliburton who is averaging just 5.3 assists per Game. Assuming he can bounce back out of his slump, a lot more scoring opportunities will be available for the likes of Siakam, Turner and the rest of the Pacers.

Jayson Tatum to Record 8+ Rebound (-195)

Tatum has looked like a different player in these first 4 Games of the new season, looking to score a lot more than we’re used to seeing from him. He had his first bad Game of the season vs Milwaukee, but the Celtics still won that Game by 11 points. I’m looking for a bounce back performance from him, especially in the rebounding department. He’s averaging 6.8 boards per Game this year, which is slightly down from the 8.1 per Game he averaged last year. That number should go up in the coming Games, Indiana is the perfect team to do so against. With Wiseman out of the line-up, the Pacers are lacking size on the interior, opponents are averaging 56.8 rebounds per Game against them. Tatum has cleared this line in 2 of 4 Games this season and in 3 of 4 meetings with the Pacers last season while averaging 11 boards per Game.

Jaylen Brown to Record 1+ Steals (-320)

Brown’s main assignment will be to stop Tyrese Haliburton here and I think he’s more than happy to take on the challenge. The Pacers point guard already has a couple of Games with 3 turnovers this season, we need Brown just to steal one of those possessions away from him for out bet to land. So far this season he’s failed to record at least 1 steal in just 1 of the 4 Games played, while averaging 1.5 per Game. At Washington in the 2nd Game of the season he recorded 4 steals, so his activity between the passing lanes is quite evident this year. In his last regular season Game vs Indiana he finished with a pair of steals, while in the 4 Game sweep during the Playoffs he averaged 2 per Game and recorded at least 1 in every single Game.
