Celtics Fans Can’t Get Over How Jayson Tatum’s New Shot Looks
The Boston Celtics won an NBA championship last year, but not everyone came out of that title run looking good.
Although Jayson Tatum was great for them for most of the season, he struggled badly during the playoffs. And the deeper Boston went in the playoffs, the worse he seemingly played.
Tatum’s troubles were then compounded when he wound up getting benched by Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The American side’s head coach, Steve Kerr, revealed the real reason why he opted to sit Tatum once the Olympics concluded.
In an effort to reclaim his place among the NBA’s elite, Tatum decided to change up his shot over the summer. He debuted it this week:

Quicker release and seems more natural indeed

lol ppl are blind say looks the same it’s only small very small things that can throw you way off. For one it’s much faster release than last season also not as much of a huge jump too. Faster release different hand placement too. Much faster release after the catch to and not so…

It will be interesting to see which version of Tatum ultimately emerges next season.
At his best, he is one of the NBA’s top talents.
But clearly his confidence is shaken right now.
Will Tatum be able to get things back on track in 2024? Time will tell.
