The New York Mets and the Toronto Blue Jays will conclude their interleague series this Sunday in Queens from Citi Field on the MLB Network. Toronto snuck away in the ninth to take Game two, 2-0.

Blue Jays Betting Preview

Toronto enters at 32-27 after defeating New York. The Blue Jays have opened June with three straight wins, and they’ll look to complete the sweep Sunday. The Toronto offense is scoring 4.85 runs per game, while batting .266, with a .334 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 3.95 ERA, with a 1.29 WHIP. Bo Bichette has recorded multiple hits in five of the last eight games, and he leads the team in batting (.336) and hits (85). Vlad Guerrero Jr. drove in the winning run last night,, and he’s up to 36 RBI. George Springer has a hit in seven of the last eight games, and he’s posting nice splits of .262/8/23.

Yusei Kikuchi (6-2, 4.56 ERA, 33 Ks) will get the call for Toronto. The fifth-year pitcher got back into the win column after holding Milwaukee to two runs. The winning decision marked Kikuchi’s first winning decision in five starts, and he’ll look for more success here in Queens Sunday.

Mets Betting Preview

New York moved to 30-29 after falling to New York. The Mets have squandered at the plate through two Games, and they’ll look to avoid being swept at home for the first time this season. The New York offense is scoring 3.98 runs per Game, while batting .240, with a .304 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 4.78 ERA, with a 1.38 WHIP. Brandon Nimmo recorded multiple hits in the Game two loss, and leads the team in batting (.292) and hits (63). Pete Alonso has gone six Games without a homer, but he still leads the Mets in HR (20) and RBI (46).

Kodai Senga (5-3, 3.44 ERA, 70 Ks) will take the mound for New York. The first-year righty pitched a gem in last start in Queens, striking out nine over seven scoreless innings against Philly to pick up his fifth win of the season. Senga was solid in May, delivering three quality starts, but he also dropped his other two spots.

Toronto vs New York Trends

Toronto is 22-32 against the spread this season, with a 31-20-3 O/U record. New York is 21-35 ATS this year, with a 30-23-3 over/under record.

Corey’s Free Pick

New York has been contained by Toronto through the first two contests, but I think they find a way to break through against Yusei Kikuchi at the plate. Kikuchi isn’t Patrick Corbin or an Oakland A’s pitcher, but he has grown to become a name we like to target when he takes the mound. Kikuchi has allowed three runs or more in four of his last six starts, and the Mets will have a chance to win this ball game. Back the Mets for this interleague series finale.
