In their Monday opener versus the Orioles, Boston took a big loss 11-3. Starter Cooper Criswell gave up six earned in 4.0 innings on six hits and a walk.

As starter for the Tuesday matchup the Red Sox are going with Brayan Bello. This year Bello is 5-2 with a 4.04 ERA and 37 Ks in 42.1 innings over eight starts. Bello is 19-21 with a 4.31 ERA in 49 career Games (47 starts).

Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview

Over on the Orioles’ side, they played the Chicago White Sox in a four-Game set over the weekend. Baltimore did well with wins 8-6, 6-4 and 5-3 in the first three Games. On Sunday the O’s finished off with a 4-1 victory. In their Monday Game Baltimore scored five runs in the fourth inning alone. Cole Irvin left after 5.0 clean innings as starter with four hits and three walks.

In the starting pitcher slot for Tuesday the Orioles will send out Grayson Rodriguez. So far in 2024 Rodriguez is 5-1 with a 3.20 ERA in eight starts. He’s got 51 Ks in 45.0 innings. Rodriguez is 12-5 with a 4.04 ERA in 31 starts.

I’ll go with the Orioles. Rodriguez is pitching well right now. Over his last three starts combined Rodriguez is 2-0 with just two earned runs in 16.2 innings total on nine hits and 11 walks. As for Bello, he’s 2-1 in his last trio with 10 earned runs in 15.2 innings of work.

In the Monday opener, the Orioles had a great offensive effort overall highlighted by two big innings. Baltimore would finish with 13 team hits and really only had one bad frame on the mound (three runs in the eighth). I like the O’s to keep it going Tuesday.
