Ange Postecoglou has insisted that he remains focused on Celtic maintaining a strong finish to the season despite being linked with a move to Tottenham.

Spurs are on the hunt for a new head coach following Antonio Conte's sacking in March. Cristian Stellini has since been replaced in interim charge by Ryan Mason.

Tottenham were targeting Feyenoord's Arne Slot but he surprisingly signed a new contract in Rotterdam this week, though 90min understands the north Londoners have been reluctant to name a top candidate for the job.

One name that's emerged recently is that of Postecoglou, who has worked wonders at Celtic in his two years in charge.

Postecoglou was asked about this speculation on Friday, to which he replied: "Well, I'm aware of it because everyone keeps asking me about it. It's happened in the past.

"I think I've been pretty clear that it's just not the way I think and work. My priority right now is just looking at trying to make sure we have a special day tomorrow [against Aberdeen]. We've got a big cup final coming up in a week's time. I'm not going to sort of sit there and sort of try and get distracted by things that are kind of fascinating for other people rather than myself," he continued.

"So yeah, that's where my focus is, and that's what it will continue to be. We've got a couple of big Games, and we've had a fantastic season, and we've got an opportunity to make it a really special one."

Tottenham could head into the 2023/24 season without a European comPetition to comPete in - they enter the final day of this term needing a win against Leeds to even stand a chance of qualifying for the Europa Conference League, with Aston Villa also needing to drop points.
