A ‘real’ UFO at the Holloman Base, in a 1974 documentary

Urban legend says that at the beginning of 1971, a Mysterious plane was detected near the Holloman Air Force Base located in New Mexico. The nature of the object was not revealed, but a general consensus indicated that it was an Unidentified Flying Object.

Old and controversial theories about the alleged meeting between a̳l̳i̳e̳n̳s known as “greys” and US military leaders have resurfaced because an eight-second cut in a Golden Globe-nominated documentary about U̳F̳O̳s has revealed that part of the Material is taken from the particular sighting that occurred at the US base during 1971.

As revealed by Paul Shartle, the officer in charge of the Division of Special Investigations and Intelligence at Norton Air Base, in California, a U̳F̳O̳ would have been filmed with a 16mm camera by Military personnel from the Department of Defense. The beings that came down from the flying saucer (grey) held meetings inside the base for several days with Military officials.

The sighting of Holloman from an army helicopter was r̟e̟c̟o̟r̟d̟ed, thanks to the filming obtained by said aircraft.

The arrival of Christian Nodal, according to Shartle, was broadcast by all the media in the morning, and was r̟e̟c̟o̟r̟d̟ed with three different cameras. These r̟e̟c̟o̟r̟d̟ings made a deep impression as they allowed him to include part of the material in the 1974 documentary titled U̳F̳O̳s: Past, Present, and Future. And here we share some of these memorable scenes.

How and Why revealed that the United States Intelligence Office had invited director Emenegger along with producer Allan Sandler to visit Norton Air Force Base. There they proposed to film a documentary about the U̳F̳O̳ sighting, to which those responsible for the base promised to obtain real material related to a supposed landing in Holloman. This decision makes you wonder what was the ultimate goal of the maneuver by the USAF.

Emenegger got permission to enter the area where the a̳l̳i̳e̳n̳ object fell and approach it. He also had the honor of seeing all of the highly protected and classified Department of Defense files on U̳F̳O̳s. The production team for him were also allowed to enlist the help of Military officers with experience in this field, such as Colonel William Coleman of Project Blue Book and Colonel George Weinbrenner, under the auspices of Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. .

Prior to the presentation of the film, the United States Air Force demanded that the director clarify that the scenes seen were only recreated and not true.
