2024 BMW PGA Championship: Tee times and pairings for final round at Wentworth
Italy’s Matteo Manassero produced an impressive third round on Saturday with a round of 63 (9 under par) to lead the way going into Sunday’s final round of the of the BMW PGA Championship, DP World Tour Golf tournament being played at the Wentworth Club in Surrey (UK).
Manassero, holds a three stroke lead over world number 3, Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy, and American Billy Horschel, who share second place on -15. One stroke behind is England’s Matthew Baldwin, who lost the lead on Saturday with a round of 71.
Manassero has not won on the main European circuit since May, 2013, when he won precisely at the BMW PGA Championship and since that win, the Italian has failed to lift a trophy in the DP World Tour.
Rory McIlroy, who last week came agonisingly close to victory in the Irish Open, is still in contention after completing the third round with 66 strokes (6 under), with an eagle and four birdies.
